Member Nancy Wadsworth is leaving for a mission trip the last week in June, 2023. Working with Midwest Mission, she is going to an area that help women learn to sew and is asking if any members have old sewing machines to donate to the cause.
Nancy says the machines can be dropped off at the First Presbyterian Church, 110 East Third Street, Dixon, Illinois, or call her. She will pick up the machine from any of you wishing to donate.

At Midwest Mission, they collect and refurbish sewing machines that have found their way to be antiques on shelves or evidence of old hobbies. That sewing machine that may not be useful to you can change someone’s life.
In a recent partner report from the Dominican Republic, Food For The Poor’s In-Country Partner Representative shared this:
“The sewing machines and fabric were provided to women whose lives have been transformed with the means to earn a living. They were ecstatic to see that they now owned their own machine.”
Your old sewing machine can make an impact like this.
