
Petunia City Quilt Guild 2026 Programs
Meetings are on First Mondays of the month starting at 6:30 P.M. (unless otherwise noted), at the First Presbyterian Church, 110 East Third Street, Dixon, Illinois. Bring your Show and Tell items to any meeting.

PHD Challenge – Participate in the Projects Half Done (PHD) Challenge for 2026. Choose 4 of your oldest projects to help work toward completion in 2026. Complete this form and bring to the next regular meeting. Share the projects as they get completed throughout the year.

Monthly Post Card Challenge – Participate each month making a post card using the monthly theme or just get creative. Bring your finished Post Card to the meeting to exchange by random draw. Check out the Gallery for postcard inspiration.

Petunia City Quilt Guild is offering a Petunia CherryWood Fabric Challenge as one of the activities in 2026.
Completed project is due by the June 1, 2026 regular Petunia City Quilt Guild meeting.
Monthly Programs
January 5, 2026: All members are welcome to attend the January meeting to participate in planning for the year. Bring ideas for projects or programs to share with the group. Help the group plan a fun and exciting schedule for 2026. Don’t forget to bring Show and Tell as well.
Monday, February 2, 2026, at 6:30 P.M.: Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. Member Carolyn S. will make a presentation on a useful tool showing a project using the tool. Post Card Challenge theme for February is Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, Winter, Snow. Just be creative! Take a moment to create a fidget quilt for our charity project.


Monday, March 9, 2026 at 6:30 P.M.: Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. The March program will be a ‘trunk show’ featuring 4 quilts each by Members Judy E, Patti J., Cadi B., and Roxanne K. Create a Post Card Challenge for exchange using the theme March Madness. CGH is always in need of a few more fidget quilts for our charity project.
Monday, April 6, 2026 at 6:30 P.M.: Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. The April program will be a presentation on taking care of your Vintage Machines by Member Marie D. Join in the Post Card Challenge fun this month using Weather theme as your creative inspiration. Use up some of those orphan blocks to make a fidget quilt for our charity project.


Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:30 P.M.: Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. The May program may include help working on fidget quilts for our charity project.. This will be finalized at a later date. The April weather theme brought in the May Flower theme for Post Card Challenge in this month. One more month to work on your Petunia Challenge projects.
Monday, June 1, 2026, at 6:30 P.M.: Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. Program TBD. Experiment with your fancy stitches on your machine when making your Post Card Challenge for June. Good way to use up random threads and scraps. Use your skills learned in May to create more fidget quilts for our charity project.. Don’t forget to bring your completed Petunia Challenge projects to meet the deadline.
Monday, July 6, 2026, at 6:00 P.M.: Join members at the bring Potluck instead of regular meeting and remember your Show and Tell. Post Card Challenge theme is Patriotic for this July. Maybe make a red, white and blue fidget quilt for a fun donation to our charity project.

Monday, August 3, 2026, at 6:30 P.M.: Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. Program TBD. Use recycled materials/items when creating your Post Card Challenge for August. Continue to make more fidget quilts for the charity project.
Monday, September 14, 2026, at 6:30 P.M.:: – Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. Program TBD. Experiment with Black and White as the theme for September’s Post Card Challenge. Continue to make more fidget quilts for the charity project.

Monday, October 5, 2026,at 6:30 P.M.: – Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. Program will be on making bags by Members Roxanne K. and Georgianna G. There will also be a Bag workshop this day with information to be determined on time and supplies needed. October is a good month to find some Sewing themed inspiration for this months Post Card Challenge. Continue to make more fidget quilts for the charity project.
Monday, November 2, 2026, at 6:30 P.M.: Join members at the regular monthly meeting and bring your Show and Tell. Program TBD. November offers many items that can be featured in a Harvest theme Post Card Challenge. Continue to make more fidget quilts for the charity project.
Monday. December 7, 2026 at 6:00 P.M.: Join members for Dinner Out – location TBD. The group will also pick a charity donation for this month. Holiday is an appropriate theme for December’s Post Card Challenge . Last chance this year to donate a fidget quilts for the charity project.
