We look forward to seeing you – details:

Please join us for a program by Phil Lewis, author and historian, called “The Underground Railroad: Fact or Fiction”.
This program is free and open to the public.
Refreshments will be served following the presentation.

Lewis is an Illinois Historian and a volunteer at Lincoln’s Presidential Library in Springfield. He has researched quilts of the Underground Railroad and will cover the facts and fantasies of the stories. His wife, Jeri, will show handcrafted quilts to go along with her husband’s historical findings.

We will also have some of the quilts made for our October auction on display.

Our charity project for 2019 is making pillowcases for the new PADS center (for homeless women) in Dixon and our collection (so far) will be on display as well.

The 1st anniversary program was by Mary Jo McCabe of the Quad Cities, shown on the left.
At the 1st anniversary meeting, challenge winners were announced and their quilts shared for all to see.
