Our Charity/Service Project for 2026 is making fidget blankets for dementia/Alzheimer patients. These will be donated to the CGH Foundation’s Alzheimer’s/Dementia Project.
After discussing this with the program’s navigator, we came up with the following guidelines:
— Each blanket will be about 18” square when finished.
— A ribbon loop is to be sewn into one corner, to be used to help attach the blanket to the patient’s chair.
— Please include a variety of textures.
— Add ribbons, buttons, and other washable items suitable for busy hands. Please attach these securely,
either by hand or machine.
— The project needs blankets for both men and women.
— Have fun and be creative!

As the program is continually accepting new clients, we have been asked to provide donations monthly.
Therefore, we will collect at each meeting.
