March 6, 2023 Meeting and Sew Day

Seven guild members started the day at 10:00 A.M. with an extremely fun sew day.

They were joined by several more at 6:30 P.M. for the regular monthly meeting. Everyone shared great March appropriate refreshments supplied by Sandra and Nancy.

The business meeting shared a few exciting updates to the yearly program listings to include a road trip for the April meeting and a workshop being offered on the day of the October meeting. See the Current Year Programs for more details. There have also been updates to the Guild Charity Projects with more clarification on items to be donated, to whom, and associated deadlines.

Many great items were shared during show and tell.

Karen Behrens presented a program to demonstrate how to make a project board. Pdf directions are available to download here if you are interested in making one yourself.

Pat presented a teddy bear pattern that the Guild members are asked to make for donation to Shining Star this year. Please have your bears done by our November meeting. Contact Pat if you need the pattern.

Guild President, Carolyn, shared the Heritage Square Retirement Center newsletter that included this picture of the door hangers recently donated to them by members of Petunia City Quilt Guild as the 2022 charity project;
